چکیده

An essential aspect of Catenary Anchor Leg Moorings (CALM) buoy structures are the components hydrodynamics like waves, underwater current, and wind. In this study, numerical investigations on CALM were carried out. Firstly, motion study free-floating was conducted in ANSYS AQWA. Then an Orcaflex-coupled model system with submarine hoses Lazy-S configuration, presented. It attached to six mooring lines under 100 m water depth. Two types geometries have been investigated: Square Buoy (SB) Cylindrical (CB). Different cases same widths considered using three skirts at 13.90m, 12.90m, 11.90m. Diffraction analysis used obtain behaviour. Results responses degrees freedom (6DoF) surge heave motions, response amplitude operators (RAOs), radiation damping, added mass, also The geometry skirt both influence its hydrodynamics. successfully achieved good reports characteristics wave-current interaction (WCI) for buoys.

EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF OFFSHORE WAVE BUOY PERFORMANCE

The important characteristic of sea waves is their high energy density, which is the highest among renewable energy sources. Having up to 2700 km. of shoreline, Iran has a great potential in construction of offshore wave buoys (hereafter called OWB). In this article a OWB model with the possibility of assembling different buoy configurations is introduced. The system is exposed to regular and i...

an investigation of the impact of self monitoring on langauge teachers motivational practice and its effect on learners motivation

the central purpose of this study was to conduct a case study about the role of self monitoring in teacher’s use of motivational strategies. furthermore it focused on how these strategies affected students’ motivational behavior. although many studies have been done to investigate teachers’ motivational strategies use (cheng & d?rnyei, 2007; d?rnyei & csizer, 1998; green, 2001, guilloteaux & d?...

the effect of functional/notional approach on the proficiency level of efl learners and its evaluation through functional test

in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...

Effect of High-Frequency Sea Waves on Wave Period Retrieval from Radar Altimeter and Buoy Data

Wave periods estimated from satellite altimetry data behave differently from those calculated from buoy data, especially in low-wind conditions. In this paper, the geometric mean wave period is calculated from buoy data, rather than the commonly used zero-crossing wave period . The geometric mean wave period uses the fourth moment of the wave frequency spectrum and is related to the mean-square...
